Nicky Garsten

Nicky Garsten
     

Nicky Garsten is Communications Director at the Media Trust.

She started her career as a journalist, working as a reporter on Hospital Doctor newspaper, and contributing freelance pieces to The Independent and BBC Radio 4.

She then went into public relations, running the Press Office at the Royal National Institute for the Blind. After working in-house she moved into consultancy work, directing award-winning PR campaigns with the British Heart Foundation and the Health Education Authority.

She has lectured on public relations to undergraduates and BBC trainees, and has run coaching courses on networking.
